The Green Cross Now Accepts Debit Card Payments!

Dear Valued Member,

The Green Cross is excited to announce we now accept debit card payments! Moving forward, members can use debit cards to pay for their purchases in our storefront location without paying transaction fees. Zero transaction fees means more savings for you!

What to know:

• Transactions will appear on bank statements as The Green Cross.
• We are unable to accept split payments, meaning we cannot use two debit cards to process payments or accept a cash and debit card split payment.
• No cash back option is available.
• We do accept Tap to Pay (Apple Pay and Google Pay) as long as it is linked to a debit card. Sometimes Tap to Pay uses a different debit network not accepted. In these instances where a transaction is declined, the chip can be used instead.
• The Green Cross still offers an on-site ATM Machine for member use if you prefer to pay in cash. Using your debit card will save you a $1.20 ATM fee plus any additional bank charges.

Support SB 512, To Help End Unfair Taxation of Cannabis!

Under the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, the cannabis excise tax is set at 15% of gross receipts from licensed retail cannabis sales. Many local governments impose additional taxes on cannabis, ranging as high as 10% in some jurisdictions.

Local governments often include these excise taxes in the definition of gross receipts when charging additional sales taxes of 7.25 – 10.5%.

SB 512 would end this double or triple taxation on cannabis, delivering much-needed relief to what is currently an unfairly overtaxed industry.
