Welcoming Nicole Elliot, new Director of the Department of Cannabis Control

Governor Newsom recently announced several new appointments to lead the newly-formed Department of Cannabis Control (DCC). As the previous Senior Cannabis Policy Advisor to Newsom and the Director of San Francisco Office of Cannabis, Nicole Elliott is appointed as the new Director of the DCC. With her experience working in local government, her leadership will be beneficial in assisting local municipalities in licensing new cannabis businesses. Ms. Elliott has a proven track record of putting equity and consumers first when it comes to crafting cannabis policy in California. From all of us here at The Green Cross, we congratulate her on her new role and look forward to working with her moving forward.
